14 October 2009 Ask For Joy LIVE IN CONCERT
![]() Here's your chance to catch Ask For Joy LIVE in concert with one of Austin's best drummers on Sunday, October 25th at Beauty Bar in downtown Austin. It's an all ages show with tickets $8 in advance (contact me if you're local and interested and I'll hook you up), or $10 at the door--just tell 'em you're there to see Ask For Joy. The music starts at 6:30 and I'm working on finding out the actual order of the lineup. But stay and see some other talented bands like Big Red Marbles and Petals and friends. I'm extraordinarily excited to have this opportunity to perform live and I'm very much looking forward to filling the Beauty Bar with shimmery, reverb-laden guitars, drums and vocals. I'll update the site as I get more details. Best, Aaron |

16 July 2009 Updates
First of all, good news for you Swoon fans—I've recently found the original tracks that I recorded several years ago and copied them onto the laptop I use for all my production work. That means I can remaster them and release versions of much higher quality than the ones on MySpace. I've also been contemplating a physical release too, since there's been a lot of interest expressed in an actual CD-R of the EP. I've always liked the X-ray wing album art and it would be great to see it on some finished packaging. Stay tuned to the site for more news about my progress. Secondly, I've been in the studio again recently laying down a sassy track for a project that I and the lovely Mindy Sea are collaborating on. I can't give away too many details just yet, but I am really excited about how this song is turning out so far. It might even be a little—dare I say it?—dancy! Anyway, keep your eyes open for that as well. Also, Life In A Coma is now available digitally through CD Baby, the iTunes Music Store, Amazon, Rhapsody, and eMusic among others. If you haven't been to this page since the last update, I've put up the lyrics to all the songs on the three Ask For Joy EPs and updated the bio. And I promise I'll be more diligent in keeping this updated. Best, Aaron |
